The Reformation is a largescale historical docu-drama series directed by Stefano Mazzeo for EWTN. It traces the history of the Christian Church from it’s instigation in the first century AD all the way to the present age, and deals with the breakaway from the Catholic Church of the Church of England and Martin Luther.
The series required a large diversity of musical pieces in a number of styles and genres, and I greatly enjoyed the challenge. The choral pieces were performed by The Victoria Consort, London, UK. However, for the recording you listen to here, I have rerecorded the vocal parts myself.
