The Hidden Shrine is a Television film directed by Tony Plumridge for EWTN. It is set in Victorian times, and is a tale of love from beyond the grave. A priest is awoken one stormy night by a knock at the door. He opens it to find a woman, beseeching him to accompany her to a house, where someone is dying.

He battles through the storm and arrives at the house, only to find that the woman has mysteriously disappeared, and there is nobody dying afterall. He is welcomed in by the house owner, a rather gruff but well educated man. They begin to talk, and the priest begins to discover that the man has no love for the church, although his deceased mother did.

The plot, as they say, thickens, when the priest notices a portrait above the fireplace of the mysterious woman.
