The Kingdom Within: The Way of the Desert Fathers

The Kingdom Within is an exploration of the life of one of the first desert fathers, St Anthony, and his search for Paul, who was a truly original desert father. These men left the trappings of society behind to live the life of a recluse and a hermit in the desert, trusting God for their very sustenance. Through some very interesting interviews and discussions with eminent theologians, the director Robert Duncan brings us to examine our own relationship to worldly wwwealth and how we perhaps can be freed from our own slavery to appetite.

The score needed to be quite sparse but evocative of the desert setting, whilst also speaking to the spiritual issues which are explored.
