The Curé of Ars

The Curé of Ars is a film about the life and ministry of St John Vianney, a priest who was sent to the difficult village of Ars, which was at the time a fairly degenerate and woebegone place. He, with patience and a strong will, transformed it and the lives of its residents through faith. The film is told through the eyes of Catherine Lassagne, played beautifully by Monica Nash.

My score is built around a number of themes, composed for a number of the main characters, including Vianney himself, and Catherine. It includes my setting of the Agnus Dei, and Sanctus, sung by Monica Nash.
