Description

A friend of ours has a cottage in the beautiful North Welsh seaside town of Penmaenmawr. Above the beautiful cottage, nestled on a hill, there is this hill path up to the top of the high hills and escarpments above the town. The dedicated walker can even find a small stone circle up on the summit, surrounded by bleating sheep and fresh air. But its the views as you climb the hill which I love most of all. It was evening the last time I climbed them, and that’s the time I have captured in this painting, as the sun paints the landscape with a subtle warm glow and the shadows lengthen.
