Seascapes have always been important to me. I live now in the Midlands, but I was brought up by the sea, and even when we lived in the mountains in Australia as a child, we would often visit the sea. It’s always been a vital part of my artistic output – I just love the sense of space you get when you look out onto the sea, and you can see the horizon far away.
